jessie muller
Jessie has practiced various schools of yoga, her favorite being Ashtanga
and Forrest. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance and has
studied Ashtanga Primary and Secondary Series with Kathy McNames and Scott York
in Vermont as well as with David Swenson and Beryl Bender Birch. Since learning
Forrest yoga this year with Heidi Somaz, Jessie has discovered a beautiful balance
in her asana and meditation practice. She honors how both Ashtanga and Forrest bring
insight, harmony and love to each moment in her life.
Jessie has had asthma since childhood. Since practicing Ashtanga and pranayama
for the last four years, her asthma symptoms have diminished. She has enjoyed researching
and teaching alternative healing techniques for people with asthma. Jessie lives by this motto:
The breath is melodious: If we allow the breath to be our guide in life, we will feel the sun
shining, even on the cloudiest of days.
Jessie has been teaching 7th and 8th grade English for 13 years. Incorporating a
blend of wisdom, sense of humor and playfulness, she has also taught her students and
colleagues Vinyasa yoga during and after school. At Yoga Vermont , she has taught Yoga
& Asthma workshops as well as Vinyasa and Partner Yoga classes. Practicing and teaching
Ashtanga is her passion, and she is delighted to teach at Fresh!
Om Dharayei Namaha (May we salute and honor Mother Earth).
