Sherisse's teaching
fuses elements of Hatha, Iyengar and Tantric traditions. She
views yoga as system which restores both internal and external
balance. Through dedicated practice, habitual patterns of holding
are released and life begins to bear gifts in the forms of peace
and inner strength. Her classes emphasize healthy alignment,
the exploration of breath, movement, and mindfulness. She encourages
her students to play as they integrate awareness of body, mind
and spirit. Sherisse holds a BA in Creative Writing from Hampshire
College and is a graduate of the Yoga Center Amherst embodyoga™ Teacher
Training Program. |
