Growing up as an athlete, Aixa's body became tight and out of balance. She tried different ways of staying in shape and in good health, but nothing really worked; something was missing. Then she found Yoga. Yoga has given her the tools to bring overall well being, mental clarity and balance to her life. It has provided a space for self exploration and has opened the door for growth at all levels. It has given her the endurance to move through emotional and physical challenges. Yoga has been a safe haven for cultivating compassion and self-love/acceptance. She believes it is the secret to life.

Aixa Lee BelvilleAixa has been committed to a yoga practice for nine years. In 2006, she completed the Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training with Ana Forrest and Jonathan Bowra. She assisted Ana and Jonathan during the Forrest Yoga Continuing Education Training for Teachers (FYCET) held at West Hartford Yoga in December 2007, and she has recently assisted Ana Forrest at various intensive workshops throughout the Northeast.

Her intention with this practice is to help people overcome emotional and physical ailments that impact our lives on a daily basis, such as the lack of breath, the disconnection from our center of power (core), a lost or de-fragmented spirit, and living in automatic pilot, which in turn paralyze us from: connecting with our wisest selves and maintaining overall strength/well being. Her goal is to guide people through self-exploration, self-healing and graceful aging.
