AcroYoga Fundamentals Workshop
Open your practice with grace and ease as you learn to collaborate with a partner. AcroYoga blends yoga, basic acrobatics, and Thai massage in a progressive way; building trust, community, and communication. Flying – a practice of giving and receiving, a dance of yin and yang - is the heart of the AcroYoga practice. After Flying, your spirits will be uplifted, your spine will be more spacious, and you will have a new sense of empowerment and ease.
The workshop includes: asana, partner yoga, assisted inversions, basic partner acrobatics, flying, and Thai massage.
No partner necessary; no prior experience necessary. Some yoga experience is helpful. Prepare to play, explore and approach
your yoga from a fresh perspective.
Thai Massage Workshop
Thai Massage combines assisted yoga postures, massage, and the mindfulness of Metta (loving kindness) into a flowing dance of continuous rhythmic motion. It has been practiced in the temples of Thailand by Buddhist Monks for 2500 years and now is considered in routine healthcare. Thai Massage uses acupressure points and assisted stretches as well as the use of the giver’s hands, elbows, feet, knees, and sometimes the head! This workshop will address the upper and lower back, neck, hips, and legs – offering accessible sequences to be shared with friends and family.
No partner necessary, no prior experience necessary. Please have healthy wrists and knees (healthy=ability to hold your body weight). Join us and find deep relaxation, increased energy, meditative benefits, and a gift you can share from the heart.
